This piece was created using alcohol inks on an aluminium art board. The painting has been covered by a shiny layer of resin and has d-hooks and wire attached to the back for easy hanging. The side has been painted with a gold varnish.

About the Collection: A MOUNTAINS LOVE STORY

Inspired by the Mountains, this collection is in itself a love story. This collection tells the story of my connection and deep appreciation of the Mountains I live in. However, this collection is also a tribute to my own love story – the story that led me all the way from Denmark to Australia. This is the story that eventually led me to become an artist.

ABOUT THE PAINTING:

This piece is inspired by the terrible bushfires two years ago. The Blue Mountains was affected by three large fires, one of which was named The Grose Valley Fire. This fire came incredibly close to our home and we had to evacuate. Thanks to the incredible firefighters, the Grose Valley Fire never got to our house but many were not so lucky. While this piece is a reminder of the fires, it is also a reminder of the regrowth that happened afterwards. This piece both symbolises destruction but also hope and regeneration.
